SHoP Architects’ design for Google Inc.’s tenant improvement challenge is a model for each office design and sustainable improvement. The venture creates a singular and innovative work setting for Google’s senior level management and engineering teams. Working carefully with Google’s Real Estate and IT group, SHoP developed a piece environment that is person pleasant, adaptive and flexible, active, and environmentally sensitive. The area erases all existence of a corporate office setting and replaces it with the feel and appear of an engineering-centered research university by bettering circulation, sight traces, and access to daylight. The challenge contains areas for shared workplaces, open work stations, tele and video conference rooms, informal lounges, Project War Rooms for sustained collaboration, Tech Talks for presentations of engineering work, engineering training rooms and media lounges. The venture’s design is entirely performance pushed: value-effective, practical, good, and responsible.
